The Huang-He and Tigris and Euphrates rivers are very unique in their own ways. However, they have many similarities and differences. They are similar because both civilizations are based around the rivers. They had to learn to control the flooding and work around the unavoidable weather habits. However, they were able to take advantage of the flooding. The rivers deposited rich sediment which was ideal for farming. They were also able to use the water as a source of irrigation. These are two very important elements they had. This allowed for crops to grow better. With the great farming conditions, people took advantaged and eventually had a surplus. They could store the food for a later use, and didn't have to worry about not having enough food for everyone. With the rivers tamed, and the farms cultivating, civilizations were able to grow. People had kids and eventually they had kids of their own. After time, two of the most famous river valley civilizations were born; the Huang-He and ancient Mesopotamia.
